Joining The subscription year runs from 1st January to 31st December. The rates are £10 for members in the UK & Europe, £12 Family membership UK & Europe and £13 overseas regardless of the number of members. Membership application can be made via the application form together with the appropriate payment to:
The Membership Secretary, North Cheshire FHS, 14 Vernon Close, Cheadle Hulme, Cheadle, Cheshire, SK8 6AN.
A quarterly magazine - "The North Cheshire Family Historian" - is issued free to each family unit in February, May, August and November. This is the main link between the Society and its more distant members. Members can submit articles to be considered for inclusion in the magazine by contacting the editor, Sue Jennings via the "Contact Us" option on the main menu.
Members are invited to submit the surnames of their ancestors on the form provided. Names and years/areas of interest will be included in the magazine and entered into our central index so that members can be put in touch with others interested in the same surname and areas. An extract from the index, listing those records where members have given their permission, is held on our website and is available for searching using the "Members' Interests" button on the main menu bar. Members may update their interests at any time using our standard form. Where new members joining the society provide details of surname interests, these will automatically be included in the database unless they request otherwise.
Members' Web Sites Members who have their own websites are encouraged to add them to our links, which can be found in the 'Links' section of this site (see main menu bar) If you have a family history related website and would like it adding to the list, please contact Sue Jennings via the "Contact Us" option on the main menu. You can view the list of members' websites from the 'Links' menu on the main menubar at the top of the screen, or by clicking here.
Help The society will endeavour to assist members with their problems, but is unable to undertake research. A wide range of Help Sheets are available under the 'Publications' section of this site (see main menu bar). |
