Charles Birchenough is one of my ancestors, he ws born in 1822 in Macclesfield. I know that he married Hannah Smith in 1852. I also know his whereabout from 1851 through the Census.

However, there is no trace of him in the 1841 census. There is one entry for Charles Birchenough in the 1841 census, but this Charles is from Ashton-Under-Lyne.

From the information I have is living with Charles is a Thomas Birchenough born in 1848 and listed as a son. I can not find any other marriage for Charles. I do not believe that Hannah Smith is the mother of Thomas.

Can anyone look up Parish records for me to aid resolving this dilemna for me.
