Poor Law and workhouse records are now available to view online at the National Archives website
19th Century Poor Law Union and Workhouse records are now free to view online at the National Archives website. These MH12 records are the correspondence between some of the newly formed Poor Law Unions and the Poor Law Commissioners in London, from 1834, the time of the Poor Law Amendment Act, until the 1840's to 1850's.
